When it comes to various vocations, gender differences are very obvious. Men who are generally in dominant roles try to act dominant in their marital relationship. Women who have been independent and never faced discrimination during education find it difficult to cope up with the discrimination both in vocational areas and marital relationships leading to many issues in their relationships. When there is a lot of stress involved in their vocational area, men find it difficult to balance it with their family situations. Generally, men from the early adulthood age group, generally tend to delay their marriage to be financially stable to handle or marriage a family. When married women try to excel in their career they put off the idea of having children for a while to excel in their career. There are lot of sacrifices done by adults to have a proper vocational career. Achievement is something that is really important in everyone’s life irrespective of what stream or age it is. Lack of achievement might lead to a lot of disparities. They must have had achieved something in their adulthood to have a feeling of have done something or achieved something which is listed in Erik Erikson’s stages of psycho-social development, the last stage i.e, Integrity vs. Despair. There are a lot of factors that effect the vocational area of an individual and it is always important not to ignore any of them.
